This door is located 41 rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, Paris,a building that is now the US Ambassy in Paris. The house was built by a woman from New Orleans, the Baroness de Pontalba between 1836 and 1842. After her death, the residence was sold to Baron Edmond de Rothschild. In 1948 the United States purchased the building.
